LA...LA, L-L-A...LA

Spur of the moment, Brett and I decided to join our friends on a trip to LA to see Utah play USC. We had so much fun and enjoyed the time we had to spend out of our daily routine with each other.

As soon as we got into town we drove straight to Huntington Beach, CA. It was beautiful! I am in love with the beach. There is just something about sitting in the sand, staring out at nothing but blue ocean and clear skis. We enjoyed throwing the football around, splashing in the waves, and relaxing on the sand. Even though the water was cold, you just can't beat the ocean!

The beach was not crowded at all. Funny story.  Brett and the guys were playing football in the surf, and while Brett was diving for the ball Carter tried to swipe at it, which resulted in Brett's heel to his eye. Carter had a nice shiner for the whole vacation.

In front of the Angeles stadium. We were able to go to a Angeles Yankees game on Friday night.

The game was tied going into the bottom of the 9th inning. Angeles had the bases loaded and they hit a sacrifice fly to center field to win the game. It was the only exciting 10 seconds of the whole 3 hour game...:)

It looks like Brett is wearing the hat ha ha!

The Coliseum is HUGE! Our original tickets were right above the USC student section, so we stayed there for the first quarter and then moved to the Utah fan section...much better. It was a really intense game. It came down to the wire, although the final score says otherwise.

On our way home from the football game we decided to see the Staples Center (booo Lakers) and also the HOLLYWOOD sign just so we could say we did. :)

Overall our quick trip was just what we needed. We were able to spend 2 full days together enjoying the beach and sports, now what could be better?
